I don’t know any other way to say it other than IF YOU WANT YOUTHFUL LOOKING SKIN, YOU HAVE TO DO THEM.
I started doing facials when I had acne and I’ve been doing them ever since. Facials help to circulate blood flow, deeply cleanse the skin and allows it to breathe by opening up the pores. I try to get a facial every 4 to 6 weeks when the skin starts to exfoliate and there is new cell growth. If you are over the age of 30, I highly recommend consistent facials to assist with anti-aging. Regular visits with a skilled esthetician (make sure she practices good hygiene) can make all the difference in reducing signs of aging and wrinkles. I know that not everyone can afford a monthly facial but all I can say is this…did you buy another top last month? Did you get your nails done twice in the past month? Did you go for drinks with the girls and not opt for a BYO? You get my point…there’s your money for your facial. Next time your boss, mother-in-law, sibling asks you what you want for your birthday or holiday ask for a SPAFINDER giftcard.
The other thing I found about salon facials over the years is that packages are very cost effective. My monthly facial at my favorite medspa includes a deep cleansing, glycolic peel, microdermabrasion, mask, radio frequency, massage and an eye treatment. If you add all those treatments up, you could spend close to $250 or more but with a package it averages out to $75 a facial.
Going for regular monthly or bi-monthly facials is a major component to maintaining youthful looking skin. Trust me…I work full-time, clean my own house, make dinner for my husband most nights and can afford my facials without incurring debt…you can too. It’s truly prioritizing what’s important to you. For the Skincare Warrior…my priority is the first impression…my skin.

Warrior tip: Look at your local Groupons/Living Social deals. Call them and inquire. I’ve found some amazing local practitioners on a dime for clinical massages, facials and body treatments. You don’t have to spend a fortune – I promise (I don’t)!
